Contact Form Pro routes WordPress messages by department

Contact Form Pro adds expanded field, routing, privacy, email, validation, and styling controls to a WordPress contact form builder. Create forms without coding, then place them on pages, posts, or widget areas with a shortcode or the Gutenberg block. Forms use a responsive layout, and Pro includes the free version’s features.

Choose fields and arrange the form

Create unlimited custom fields for feedback, support requests, quotes, job applications, surveys, and other user messages. Add pre-built elements, including an e-sign field and file attachments. Set core fields such as name, email, subject, and message to show, hide, or disable, and select which fields are required. Phone validation checks number formats. Default text can pre-fill the subject and message, while logged-in users can have fields filled automatically.

Reorder fields with drag and drop, arrange them in two columns, adjust the form width, or display the form in a popup. Set alignment and submit-button styling, and add tooltips or placeholders. Popup animation is also available.

Route submissions and configure email responses

Department routing lets users select a department and sorts messages by that choice. Send submissions to the default administrator or a custom address, and send copies to specified email addresses. Email notifications can include sender details such as IP address, timestamp, referral source, and browser or device information. Add a Reply to address to email headers, or configure customized automatic replies.

Privacy controls let you add customizable terms and privacy checkboxes. For spam protection, use Captcha or reCaptcha, the Honeypot field, and submission-frequency controls through Limit Attempts.

Track submissions and adjust language

Google Analytics integration can track form submissions. A settings panel also lets you add custom code. The extension supports multiple languages and right-to-left layouts.

Install and add a form to WordPress

Install and activate Contact Form Pro, then create or configure a form in the plugin settings. Add fields, choose required settings, set routing and notification preferences, and apply privacy or spam-protection controls. Place the form with the [bestwebsoft_contact_form] shortcode in a page, post, or widget, or use the Gutenberg block. Send a test email before publishing.
