ThumbPress Pro for WordPress media work
ThumbPress Pro adds image management utilities to the WordPress dashboard for site owners, developers, and agencies. Pro modules help review an existing media library, process images, and select how media is delivered. The product also includes thumbnail control and regeneration, WebP conversion, lazy loading, hotlink protection, and social media thumbnail options.
Review images before cleanup
Find unused images, detect large documents, and identify duplicates in the media library. Review those results before taking cleanup action. Trash Images lets you recover deleted images, so you can check them before removal is finalized.
- Compress images, edit them with the built-in Image Editor, or replace an image with a new version.
- Move images to Trash and recover deleted images.
Process image formats
Bulk AVIF conversion works across the media library, including existing images. Product information describes AVIF as a modern format that can compress further than WebP while providing equal or better quality. WebP reduces file sizes compared with JPG and PNG.
Configure optional CDN offloading
Connect the media library to the ThumbPress CDN from the dashboard. The nearest region is selected for the connection, and setup requires no separate CDN account, API keys, or DNS changes. Storage is included up to 100 GB, depending on the plan.
- Offload existing media in the background with live progress, cancellation, and automatic resume.
- Set new uploads to offload automatically.
- Keep local files by default, or optionally remove them after the CDN copy is confirmed.
- Exclude file types such as SVG and PDF, or exclude particular image sizes.
Responsive image URLs are rewritten so image sizes can load from the edge. WooCommerce product, variation, and gallery images are supported. If the CDN is unreachable, images can fall back to the site’s own server. A storage dashboard shows included storage usage and how many images are served from the edge.
Installation and process
- Install and activate ThumbPress Pro in WordPress.
- Open the ThumbPress dashboard and choose the Pro module you want to use.
- Review large, unused, or duplicate images before applying cleanup actions.
- Use compression, editing, replacement, or bulk AVIF conversion as needed.
- For CDN offloading, connect from the dashboard, choose the available storage settings, and begin with existing media or new uploads.
CDN offloading is optional. The other image management modules can be used without it.
