WP Simple Pay Pro: On-Site Stripe Forms and Recurring Plans

WP Simple Pay Pro connects Stripe with WordPress through standalone payment forms. Use it for one-time payments, recurring subscriptions, donations, or installment plans without setting up a full ecommerce store. The plugin does not integrate with WooCommerce or Easy Digital Downloads.

Choose how payment forms appear

Embedded and overlay forms keep the payment form on your website. Stripe Checkout delivers a hosted flow optimized for desktop, tablet, and mobile. For on-site forms, the drag-and-drop builder lets you add custom fields, billing or shipping addresses, and file uploads. Custom field entries are stored as metadata with the related Stripe payment record.

Forms can let customers enter an amount, with minimum and default amounts available for custom amounts. This can fit donations or other pay-what-you-want payments. You can also use custom receipt emails, coupon codes, tax rates, an initial setup fee, or a free trial. Installment plans can split a payment or end a subscription after a specified number of charges.

Set payment and subscription terms

Recurring payments are available in the Lite version as well. Pro includes controls for customers to manage subscriptions through Stripe, renewal reminders, custom billing periods, and cancellation messages. Subscription plan selection can be included in payment forms, and templates are available to help start a form.

Pro can issue full or partial refunds without opening the Stripe dashboard, and disputed payments after a chargeback can be shown in the plugin. Stripe Radar provides fraud protection and spam prevention.

Payment methods depend on the form type

Custom forms support Apple Pay and Google Pay, along with settings such as ACH for U.S. bank accounts, SEPA Direct Debit for Europe, Bacs Direct Debit for the U.K., Bancontact, GrabPay, Klarna, and Afterpay or Clearpay. Stripe Checkout also supports methods including Alipay, WeChat Pay, BECS Direct Debit, BLIK, FPX, Giropay, iDEAL, MobilePay, PIX, Przelewy24, and PromptPay. Its listed coverage includes more than 30 languages, 45 countries, and 135 currencies.

Stripe Checkout is described as PCI compliant and SCA-ready. Checkout forms can collect billing and shipping addresses and additional customer details, and use custom branding. A visual Form Style editor offers preset themes and controls for colors, typography, borders, and spacing on embedded and overlay forms.

Connect Stripe and place a form

Connect the plugin to Stripe, create a payment form, pick its payment type, add the fields and options for your offer, and configure payment or subscription settings where applicable. Then place the form on your site. The plugin also lists integrations with AffiliateWP, Divi, and Elementor, plus developer tools for custom integrations.

Pro has no added per-transaction plugin fee; Stripe fees still apply. The Lite version adds a 3% fee per transaction in addition to Stripe fees. Pro also includes one-on-one help from the support team and product documentation.
