ACF Import Pro Add-On connects CSV, Excel, or XML files to Advanced Custom Fields in WordPress. Its import panel shows ACF fields alongside source data. Drag values into their destination fields to map records across many posts without entering each custom field by hand. Files can use their own structure, and CSV columns do not need specific names. You can edit CSV files in spreadsheet software; use UTF-8 if special characters cause import trouble.

Map fields and media

The Pro edition works with ACF fields such as Flexible Content, Relationships, Dates, Image Galleries, Google Maps, and Repeaters. Basic values include text, numbers, ranges, email addresses, URLs, and passwords.

Import images and gallery items from your computer, another server, or an external location. The add-on can also download files from external websites, including sources protected by HTTP authentication. It splits large imports into chunks, allowing practically unlimited file sizes subject to your server options.

Run an import once or on a schedule

For a one-time import, choose a file and WordPress content type, map its values in the ACF panel, configure media or custom functions if needed, preview the result, and run the import. To process updated files on a recurring schedule, use WP All Import Pro. Scheduled imports can add, edit, delete, or update custom post types.

You can pass imported values through custom PHP functions in the import template. For example, [my_function({data[1]})] passes the value from {data[1]} to my_function and uses the function's return value.

Requirements and setup

ACF imports require WP All Import and the ACF Import Add-On to be active. The Pro configuration also requires WP All Import Pro and the ACF Import Pro Add-On alongside the free ACF Import Add-On. The add-on works with the free version of WP All Import for the capabilities available there; expanded ACF field support and other paid functions require the Pro combination. Premium technical support is included with the WP All Import Pro setup.

Install and activate the required components, start an import, choose the source file and content type, then map values in the ACF panel. Preview the records before running the import. Configure a scheduled import through WP All Import Pro when you need recurring updates.
