WP TripAdvisor Review Slider Pro

WP TripAdvisor Review Slider Pro imports reviews into your WordPress database so pages can display stored content locally instead of requesting it from TripAdvisor on every visit. It supports travel, hospitality, hotel, restaurant, attraction, and tour businesses, with reviews from TripAdvisor, Facebook Pages, Google, Yelp, and more than 50 other review websites.

Sources and locations

Add multiple TripAdvisor business URLs and download reviews from each location. Create templates for different parts of your site, then filter each template by source to show the relevant location’s reviews. Summary badges display the average rating and review count stored for the selected source.

The Pro cron option can check TripAdvisor for new reviews once a day. Reviews from other supported sources can also be displayed in templates, either by source or mixed together.

Layouts and placement

Choose a slider, responsive grid, or list layout. Create multiple templates and add them to posts, pages, or widgets with a shortcode, widget, or template function. Slider options include autoplay, speed, arrow and dot visibility, one review per slide on mobile, equal review heights, and a configurable read-more link. Pro includes more slider controls, hover pause, and touch swipe on mobile.

Place a summary badge beside or above reviews, or show the badge by itself. Pro also supports floating badges that open a review panel when clicked. Customize colors, font sizes, borders, reviewer names, avatars, verified badges, and source icons; child-theme style overrides and custom CSS provide further control.

Review management

Filter reviews by rating, hide reviews without text, and sort by newest or randomly. On the Review List page, you can hide, edit, or delete individual reviews. Download and display visitor-added TripAdvisor photos, which can open in a lightbox. Pro adds more date formats, a Load More button for pagination, and the option to insert reviews manually.

Pro tools

Pro can email you when it finds new low-rated reviews. It includes review charts and graphs, CSV export, and a front-end submission form. The add-on can also generate review snippet markup for summaries intended for Google Search results.

Setup

1. Upload the extension folder to your WordPress add-ons directory and activate the plugin.
2. Find the TripAdvisor business page you want to use, copy its URL from the browser address bar, and paste it into the plugin’s Get TripAdvisor Reviews page. Download reviews from the selected source.
3. Create a template and place it in a post, page, or widget using a shortcode, widget, or template function.

For a site with several locations, add each business URL and assign the relevant source to its template. Enable the Pro cron option to check TripAdvisor for new reviews once a day.
