Address Book Pro for WooCommerce keeps customer billing and shipping addresses available for future orders. Customers can pick a saved address at Classic WooCommerce checkout, add an address during checkout, or update saved entries in My Account.
Address book settings
Open WooCommerce > Settings > Address Book to configure the available settings:
- Enable billing and shipping address books.
- Set Add New Address as the default selection.
- Allow billing or shipping address nicknames during checkout.
- Set a per-user limit for saved billing addresses.
- Enable or disable address import and export.
Customers can import and export saved addresses when those functions are enabled. Nicknames help distinguish entries when choosing an address.
Saved addresses in order administration
When adding an order in the WooCommerce administration area, an administrator can select an address from that customer's saved address book. Administrators can also manage the address book from the customer's user profile.
Which checkout and delivery workflows are supported?
The add-on works with the Classic WooCommerce checkout. It does not currently work with WooCommerce Block Checkout. Customers can store multiple shipping addresses, but a single order cannot be sent to multiple locations. For deliveries to various destinations, customers need to place separate orders.
Address fields and compatibility
The add-on uses standard WooCommerce address functions, so standard methods for modifying address fields continue to apply. The plugin has been tested with standard filters and WooCommerce Checkout Field Editor.
Most standard custom fields work with the address book. Custom fields added by another plugin and updated through JavaScript may not always be handled correctly. If a field does not populate as expected, review its implementation and the other plugin's compatibility.
Installation and setup
Install Address Book Pro for WooCommerce on a website using the Classic WooCommerce checkout. Then open WooCommerce > Settings > Address Book, enable the billing and shipping address books, configure the address options, and set any address limits and import or export preferences the store needs.
