Advanced Sidebar Menu Pro

Advanced Sidebar Menu Pro builds page and category menus from parent and child relationships already defined in WordPress. The current page, post, or category provides context, so menus can display related items as visitors move between sections. Display settings determine whether a menu includes the current entry, its parent, child items, grandparent, grandchild, or first-level related children. Pro also works with navigation menus, custom post types, and custom taxonomies.

Menus follow the site's content structure

Advanced Sidebar Menu Pro builds page and category menus from parent and child relationships already defined in WordPress. The current page, post, or category provides context, so menus can display related items as visitors move between sections. Display settings determine whether a menu includes the current entry, its parent, child items, grandparent, grandchild, or first-level related children. Pro also works with navigation menus, custom post types, and custom taxonomies.

Choose where menus appear

Gutenberg blocks are available for pages, categories, and navigation menus. Add them to page or post content, widget areas, the Theme Customizer, or the Site Editor where WordPress supports blocks. Widgets are also available for classic widget areas and page builders, including Elementor and Beaver Builder.

Set levels, ordering, and grouping

  • Choose whether to display the highest-level parent or a menu containing only that parent.
  • Set whether child pages or categories always appear, and pick their levels. For page menus, set the number of levels shown when always displaying child pages is off.
  • Choose the ordering for category menus and personalize the text used for page, category, and navigation menu links.
  • Exclude a page from all menus with a checkbox, or select which custom post types and custom taxonomies to display.
  • Show category menus on single posts using the categories assigned to the current post. Display each category in its own widget or block, or group them in one list.

Style links and set accordion behavior

Click-and-drag controls let you set link color, background color, size, hover appearance, and font weight. Styling can vary by link level, with separate settings for the current page or category and its parent. Block styling includes borders, border width, and border colors. Choose from seven bullet styles or remove bullets.

Accordion controls are available for page, category, and navigation menus. Set the icon style and color, decide whether sections stay closed until clicked, choose whether to include the highest-level parent, and set whether links open and close sections.

Add and configure a menu

Install Advanced Sidebar Menu Pro in WordPress, then add a page, category, or navigation menu block or widget to a supported location. Choose the relationships, display levels, ordering, exclusions, styling, and accordion settings for the site. The menu is generated from the current page, post, or category and the selected options.
