Set up audio alongside your content

Audio Player Block Pro gives musicians, podcasters, course creators, and bloggers more options for presenting audio in WordPress posts and pages. Configure the player in the Gutenberg editor as you work on the content where it will appear. Choose one file for a standalone recording or add multiple files to create a playlist. Tracks can include titles, artist names, and cover images.

Smart play and pause control allows one track to play at a time and automatically pauses other tracks. Use a playlist for an album, podcast episodes, or a lesson series. A single recording can accompany a post or provide article narration.

Choose how tracks play

The Pro version adds five customizable themes with various looks and options. Auto Play starts the next song when the current one ends. Loop Mode repeats the current track after it finishes. Previous and next controls move through the playlist, while forward and backward buttons skip within a track.

  • Show the current and total time for each track.
  • Show or hide a custom stop button.
  • Choose playback speed options.
  • Add a download icon for saving the audio file.

Refine the player's appearance

Adjust the thumbnail border and radius, seek bar height and radius, thumb width, outline, and shadow. Other controls include the controls border and hover border, time show radius, artist opacity, waveform colors, and playlist border and radius.

The player also supports width and height adjustments, colors, backgrounds, hover effects, track details, cover images, and audio uploads. These settings let you adapt an album, episode collection, lesson series, or article narration to the surrounding page.

Place the player where audio is useful

Musicians and bands can share albums or singles with cover art. Podcasters can add episodes to posts and pages. Course creators can include audio lessons or narration in learning content, and bloggers can provide an audio version of an article for readers who prefer listening.

Shortcode integration delivers another way to place a configured player outside its immediate block location, wherever shortcode content is supported.

Configure and publish in Gutenberg

Install and activate the Audio Player Block extension, then open a post or page in the Gutenberg editor. In the Widgets block category, add Audio Player Block. Upload audio files and a cover image, enter each track's title and artist information, and arrange the playlist.

Use the settings sidebar to pick a theme and set playback behavior, dimensions, and visual details. Publish the post or page when the player is ready. The shortcode option can also place it in another supported location.
