Gmap Block Pro for Multi-Location Gutenberg Maps

Gmap Block Pro adds interactive map tools to the Gmap Block Gutenberg extension. Add multiple locations to one map, with individual details for each place, and let visitors explore them within your page.

Add the block to posts, pages, templates, template parts, or patterns. It can be used for office locations, venue information, directories, and other pages that present places.

Locations and map interactions

• Add as many locations as needed to a map, each with its own details.
• Choose custom pin colours or an SVG icon for markers, and attach information windows to markers.
• Let visitors click a location card to pan and zoom the map to its place.
• Display driving directions between two points.
• Use an interaction control to stop the map from capturing page scrolling.

Map styles and geographic data

Style the map with dark mode or muted palettes, or hide points of interest. The included SVG world map can be coloured with your own data.

Google Maps API key setup

The free Gmap Block embeds a single Google map location without an API key. Gmap Block Pro uses the Google Maps JavaScript API for its interactive map capabilities, which require a free Google Maps API key. The add-on includes guidance for creating a key.

In Settings → Gmap Block, use Test this key to check whether Google accepted the key and whether Places API (New) responded. If a Pro map is blank, the results can help identify which Google API may still need to be enabled.

Setup process

1. Install and activate Gmap Block Pro.
2. Prepare a Google Maps API key for the Pro features.
3. Open the Gmap Block options and use Test this key to check the configuration.
4. Add the Gmap Block to a post, page, template, template part, or pattern.
5. Add locations, markers, information windows, styling, and any other map controls you need.
6. Preview and publish the content.
