Turn an API response into WordPress content
Enter an API URL, load and inspect the response, then save the connection as an API-Access-Set. Use that saved set to create a shortcode or query the API with the JCI Block. The block can display the response and generate a template to help structure its output. Add the shortcode or block to a page, post, or Custom Post Type and format the data as HTML for display. Use API-Access-Sets in PHP when you prefer direct code integration.
Build search-driven API applications
PRO lets you connect a search form to a JSON API and pass submitted GET variables into a dynamic JSON feed URL. This lets visitor-provided search values affect the API request, for example in a directory or data listing.
Manage templates and content types
The Twig template engine supports flexible data templates. Store templates independently from pages, use additional shortcode parameters, and execute shortcodes inside a template. PRO also works with creating and using Custom Post Types.
Handle forms, caching, and output filtering
Contact Form 7 integration can populate forms with JSON data and forward submitted form data to an API. The JCI cacher can reduce repeated API requests. Basic options include options for SSL, caching, Gutenberg, and authentication.
HTML in shortcode and block output is filtered to prevent potentially dangerous code, such as JavaScript, from being output. If a display requires additional HTML, the advanced Basic Settings field lets you allow selected tags or attributes.
