Choose how checkout groups products

The selected mode determines how pre-order products and entries available now are handled:

  1. Keep the whole order together: Treat the entire order as a pre-order and ship its products together. Customers can select a shipping date no earlier than the latest pre-order availability date in the order.
  2. Separate by availability: Create one order for pre-order products and another for available products. Available items can be processed while the pre-order items wait for their release date.
  3. Create an order for each pre-order product: Keep available products in one order and create a separate order for each pre-order product, tied to its pre-order date.
  4. Allow only one availability group: Prevent clients from combining pre-order products with items that are already available.

Manage pre-order dates, prices, and orders

A dedicated Pre-Orders section lets you review pre-orders. Filter orders that include products purchased during their pre-order phase, or use bulk selection to change existing pre-order dates and statuses. A WordPress bulk action can apply pre-order status to multiple products grouped by category.

Set an individual product's pre-order price as a fixed amount, a percentage, or a markup based on its base price. Payment settings include Pay Later for Pre-orders and fixed payment gateways for pre-order purchases. You can unify shipping costs and set a Pre-Order Transition Status for the order's release process. An option can change product stock when the pre-order date expires.

Keep customers and administrators informed

Notify customers when a product's pre-order period ends and it becomes available. Administrators can receive an email a set number of days before a pre-order date. You can also add a custom message to pre-order products, use predefined email templates, and display a pre-order badge.
