Choose slide sources
- Image slides use entries from the WordPress Media Library. Image Folder slides can draw from a folder or from images uploaded within a selected date range. External URL slides load images hosted elsewhere, such as on a CDN or image host.
- Video slides can use YouTube, Vimeo, TikTok, or other external video services. Local Video slides use videos in the Media Library; Pro adds External Video slides for videos hosted outside the site. Local and External Video slides support MP4, WebM, and MOV documents, with settings for cover images, autoplay, mute, lazy loading, and hidden controls. VTT files can provide video captions.
- Post Feed slides use featured images to display blog posts, events, or WooCommerce products. Choose post types and display order, filter by tags or categories, and tailor captions with fields such as title, excerpt, author, and date. Slides can also feature a single post or a WooCommerce product.
- Custom HTML slides and animated Layer slides provide other ways to add content to a presentation.
Set the slide design and timing
Build CSS3 animated HTML layers in the drag-and-drop editor. Layers can contain text, HTML, images, videos, and shortcodes, with 50 animation options. The Theme Editor lets you adjust navigation, arrows, captions, and other presentation styles. Pro includes premium themes, and you can make and preview your own themes.
Configure transition effects, speed, and timing, including a custom delay for an individual slide. Slides can repeat, and still images can use a Ken Burns pan-and-zoom effect. Thumbnail navigation adds a row of thumbnails; Filmstrip navigation displays thumbnails in a carousel. Scheduling controls when a slider appears by date, time, or day of the week.
Place the presentation in WordPress
Select media or another slide type, arrange slides with drag-and-drop editing, then set captions, links, image title and alt text, navigation, appearance, and timing. Add the finished presentation with the WordPress Block Editor block, a shortcode, or a widget. MetaSlider also works with Elementor, Beaver Builder, Visual Composer, and Divi.
For content-driven presentations, Post Feed slides can display items from WooCommerce, The Events Calendar, or content using Advanced Custom Fields. The Events Calendar integration can order events by event date.
