Product and category rules
Set minimum and maximum quantities for products and categories. Pro adds product and category total limits, plus category product quotas. Product rules can override global options, and you can exclude a product from min/max rules. Pro also lets you disable category rules.
For variable products, apply limits to individual variations or use combined rules across variations. Grouped products support minimum and maximum quantities and amounts, along with quantity steps. Steps, also called groups, set the increments customers can buy, such as multiples for items sold in packs or bulk quantities.
Order, cart, and amount conditions
Set minimum and maximum order quantities and order values. Pro also supports minimum and maximum product amounts, as well as a minimum order total after discounts. A product quantity or price value of zero does not function as a rule.
Cart limits can have separate settings. When a cart rule is set, it takes priority; when there is no cart rule, the cart follows the applicable global or product rules.
Role-based rules and customer messages
Pro lets you set various product quantity, category quantity, product total, category total, and cart limits for specific visitor roles. This can accommodate different requirements for wholesale, retail, or custom roles. Pro also supports multivendor setups with WCFM and MultivendorX, where vendors can set their own product limits.
When a customer’s cart does not meet a configured condition, the plugin shows a restriction message. Pro lets you personalize these messages to explain the applicable quantity, amount, or cart requirement.
Configure and review the rules
In the WooCommerce administration area, select whether each rule applies globally, to a product or variation, to a category, or to the cart. Enter the required minimum, maximum, amount, or step values, then add role-based or combined variation rules as needed.
After setup, check representative cart scenarios for quantities, product totals, category conditions, discounts, and cart limits. Confirm that the rules block the intended purchases and that the displayed messages match your store’s requirements.
