Choose where attachments appear and when they are available
Attachments can be viewable or downloadable on product detail pages, order details pages, or both, according to the configured setup. For an attachment on an order details page, choose the order status that controls when its download becomes available. The download is enabled when the order matches that status.
- Pending payment
- Processing
- On hold
- Completed
- Cancelled
- Refunded
- Failed
Set an expiry date or period for the download link. Product page visibility can be enabled when customers need to access an attachment there. An email setting lets you enable or disable attachments in customer emails.
Assign files across products and categories
Add attachments to all products or variable products, assign them directly to multiple products, or assign them to categories. You can include or exclude selected products and categories to target the assignment.
Select a file upload or external URL
Choose an uploaded file or an external URL for each attachment. Supported materials include documents, JPG images, videos, PDFs and other file types supported by the store setup.
WordPress may block some document types for security reasons. If allowing all upload types is required, the supplied setup notes describe adding define('ALLOW_UNFILTERED_UPLOADS', true); to wp-config.php.
Set up an attachment
After adding the add-on to a WooCommerce site, create an attachment in the relevant product options. Enter its name and description, select a file upload or external URL, select products or categories, then set visibility, order status and expiry. Review it on the product or order details page and adjust the email setting if needed.
