Responsive Lightbox Pro for WordPress Media

Responsive Lightbox Pro displays images, galleries and other content in an overlay on WordPress pages. Supported content includes AJAX, iFrames, Flash, YouTube and Vimeo videos, external sites, Google Maps, inline content and HTML. Automatic handling can add lightboxes to images, galleries and videos; configuring individual links lets you select specific content and its lightbox type.

Automatic handling and selected links

Use automatic addition for images, galleries and videos. To configure links individually, first disable the automatic add option under Settings > Responsive Lightbox, then add the matching attributes:

• Single image: rel="lightbox"
• Image gallery: rel="lightbox[gallery-0]"
• iFrame, external link, Google Maps, Vimeo or YouTube: rel="lightbox" data-lightbox-type="iframe"
• AJAX content: rel="lightbox" data-lightbox-type="ajax"
• Inline content: rel="lightbox" data-lightbox-type="inline"

Effects, themes and captions

The responsive, HiDPI-compatible lightbox includes touch support for mobile visitors. Seven CSS-powered effects include Fade, Slide and Fall. Image captions can appear automatically. Two built-in themes provide ready-made styles, and the templating system lets you add a custom theme.

Settings and compatibility

The administration interface includes more than 15 settings. Configure appearance through options and CSS, override styles through custom options without editing CSS files, and change default colors with color pickers. The extension is designed for classic and Gutenberg editors, works with any WordPress theme, and lists support for Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer and Safari.

Responsive Lightbox Pro is described as lightweight and search engine optimized. It is translation ready, supports multisite installations and includes integrated automatic updates. After installation, use the settings area to select automatic behavior and configure available appearance options.
