Schema Premium for WordPress: Structured Data Controls
Schema Premium is a paid WordPress extension that extends Schema with more markup options. It outputs structured data as JSON-LD and lets you pick which types apply to your content. Markup can help search engines interpret pages and may affect search result presentation, though it does not guarantee enhanced results.
Structured data controls for WordPress
Schema Premium is a paid WordPress extension that extends Schema with more markup options. It outputs structured data as JSON-LD and lets you pick which types apply to your content. Markup can help search engines interpret pages and may affect search result presentation, though it does not guarantee enhanced results.
Choose types and where they apply
Apply a type across a post type or category, or enable types in other areas of your site. Customize the source for each property and map it to available site data. Schema can also reuse post meta created by other add-ons.
- Article and BlogPosting
- Event, Course, and SpecialAnnouncement
- FAQPage and HowTo
- JobPosting and LocalBusiness
- Person, Product, Recipe, Review, and Service
- SoftwareApplication and WebPage
FAQPage remains a supported type. Google retired FAQ rich results in May 2026, so this type does not provide that search capability.
Markup across site content
Structured data can cover pages, posts, archives, author pages, headers, footers, breadcrumbs, videos, and audio. VideoObject markup can be enabled automatically for videos embedded with oEmbed from VideoPress, YouTube, TED, Vimeo, Dailymotion, and Vine. AudioObject markup can be enabled automatically for audio embedded from SoundCloud and Mixcloud.
Integrations and extensions
Schema integrates with or works alongside Yoast SEO, AMP, AMP for WP, WPRichSnippets, The SEO Framework, WPBakery Page Builder, ThirstyAffiliates, and Easy Digital Downloads. WooCommerce integration is available through a separate Schema for WooCommerce extension. Other extensions provide FAQ and How-To blocks, ratings, reviews, and a default picture.
The plugin is intended to work with well-coded WordPress themes. Themes listed as tested include Genesis 2.x, Thesis 2.x, and Divi. Developers can extend it through other extensions, extensions, or a theme's functions.php file.
Set up and review the output
- Install Schema Premium on your WordPress site.
- Configure the schema types and content locations for your site.
- Customize property sources where your workflow requires it.
- Review the generated JSON-LD and test it with Google's Structured Data Testing Tool.
Paid visitors can access one-to-one email support from the Schema.Press team. Schema Premium is suited to site owners, publishers, developers, and shop operators who need broader schema coverage and more control over structured data.
