WordPress plugin
Secure Gateway for Authorize.net and WooCommerce Enterprise
Connect a WooCommerce store to an Authorize.net merchant account to accept credit card payments. Enterprise also supports eCheck payments through the ACH network. Gateway options and order actions are managed in WordPress.
Card and ACH payments in WooCommerce
Connect a WooCommerce store to an Authorize.net merchant account to accept credit card payments. Enterprise also supports eCheck payments through the ACH network. Gateway options and order actions are managed in WordPress.
For card payments, Accept.js sends payment data directly to Authorize.net, helping reduce PCI scope. The extension does not store customer card numbers or sensitive information on the website. When saved cards are enabled, customers can reuse card details held on gateway servers. A valid SSL certificate is required for customer card details and PCI DSS compliance.
Checkout settings and order actions
- Process full or partial refunds from WordPress without looking up the order in the Authorize.net account.
- Authorize a transaction first and capture it later.
- Restrict selected card types. The gateway can conceal the relevant card icon and display an appropriate checkout error message.
- Optionally send receipts from the Authorize.net merchant account.
- Enable logging to help investigate issues with gateway use.
Subscriptions and pre-orders
The gateway works with the WooCommerce Subscriptions extension for products with recurring payments. It also works with the WooCommerce Pre-Orders extension, so customers can order products before they are available. Their card details can then be charged automatically when the pre-order becomes available.
Saved cards and upsell compatibility
Saved card details are held on gateway servers, not on the website. The gateway is also compatible with FunnelKit, formerly WooFunnels, One Click Upsells for stores that use post-purchase or checkout upsell steps.
Setup and requirements
Install the plugin with its one-click installation process, connect an active Authorize.net merchant account, and complete the gateway fields in WooCommerce. Choose the payment and checkout settings the store needs, such as card restrictions, receipts, delayed capture, saved cards, or ACH. You can test with an Authorize.net sandbox account.
WooCommerce 3.3 or later, an active Authorize.net account, and a valid SSL certificate are required.
