Social Warfare Pro is the paid add-on for the Social Warfare WordPress sharing extension. A Pro license adds networks and controls for social previews, Pinterest pictures, share counts, and publishing tools.
Choose networks and button locations
The core add-on supports Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and Mix. Pro adds Reddit, Tumblr, Yummly, WhatsApp, Pocket, Buffer, Hacker News, Flipboard, and Email. Choose which networks to display, then place static buttons above or below a post, in both places, conceal them, or insert them manually. Floating buttons can follow readers when static buttons are outside the visible area.
Set the details attached to a share
For Facebook, LinkedIn, and other services that use Open Graph data, choose the picture, title, and description shown with a share. Pinterest can use a dedicated image and custom description. The Image Hover Pin Button puts a Pin control over content images when a reader moves the mouse over them.
Set custom text for Twitter shares. Social Warfare adds the content link and your @username to the share box. The plugin also supports Facebook author and publisher attribution, Twitter publisher and author attribution, Twitter Cards with Large Image Cards, and Rich Pins. It can append “via @username” to tweets and pin descriptions; advanced visitors can also configure a Facebook app link.
Style buttons and choose how counts appear
Choose from six button shapes and eight color themes, or set custom button colors. Click to Tweet quotes have six styles, with the option to create a custom style using your theme’s CSS. Share counts can be displayed, hidden, or shown only after they reach a minimum you set.
Share Recovery is designed for recovering lost share counts after permalink changes, domain-prefix changes, a switch between HTTP and HTTPS, or a domain change. Pro can also reactivate, track, and show Twitter tweet counts.
Use shares in posts and track activity
The Popular Posts widget can rank content by total shares or by shares on a selected network. Its display options include thumbnails, image and text sizes, visual themes, and date ranges. Click to Tweet elements add tweetable statements to posts or pages.
Use shortcodes to place share buttons manually, including buttons that share a various URL from the page they appear on. Users familiar with PHP can connect Social Warfare to theme templates. The plugin’s Frame Buster helps prevent content hijackers from placing advertisements over your content without permission.
With your Bitly credentials, shared links can be shortened. Google Analytics options can add network-specific UTM codes to shared links and track button clicks as events.
Configure the features you need
Install Social Warfare Pro with the Social Warfare WordPress plugin, then choose networks, button design and placement, count behavior, and share details. Add shortcodes or Click to Tweet elements where needed, and review the buttons and share previews before publishing.
