Linked flag content for WordPress
SVG Flags Pro extends SVG Flags - Country Flag Blocks and Galleries with linked flag cards, responsive linked grids and a searchable flag directory. It also adds flag headings, custom captions, tooltips and further presentation controls for pages that need links and context around their flags.
Flag choices and base blocks
The searchable selector includes 271 current country, territory, regional and organisation flags. SVG flags scale without losing quality and retain a fixed aspect ratio: 4:3 by default or 1:1 for square displays.
The underlying extension includes three dynamic blocks:
- SVG Flag renders a lightweight flag with CSS.
- SVG Flag Image creates an accessible image with country-name alternative text.
- SVG Flag Grid creates responsive galleries of multiple flags, with up to eight columns, adjustable spacing, captions and square or 4:3 flags.
In the block editor, select flags and set their size, aspect ratio, captions and layout. Real-time previews display the configured show as you work. SVG Flags Pro adds linked cards and grids, plus directory search and additional context controls, to these flag features.
Blocks and shortcode use
You can create flag displays in the block editor or use shortcodes in classic-editor content and templates. A single flag uses [svg-flag flag="gb"]; an accessible image uses [svg-flag-image flag="fr"]; and a gallery can use [svg-flag-grid flags="gb,us,ca,fr" columns="4" caption="true"]. Countries and territories use Alpha-2 codes, alongside the additional regional and organisation codes included by the bundled flag-icons library.
Install and configure
Install SVG Flags Pro in WordPress, then add its blocks through the block editor or use the available shortcodes in classic-editor content and templates. Select flags with the searchable selector, configure the layout and presentation, and review the result in the live preview.
