WCK PRO for WordPress content structures

WCK PRO extends WordPress Creation Kit, whose admin tools define custom fields and metaboxes, custom post types, and taxonomies. Field values use standard WordPress custom fields and are stored as postmeta. The Pro features add ways to show that content in a theme and create or edit it through front-end forms.

Define fields and where they appear

Custom Fields Creator sets up metaboxes for posts, pages, and custom post types. Field types include WYSIWYG editor, upload, text, textarea, select, checkbox, radio, number, HTML, time-picker, phone, currency select, color picker, and heading. WCK PRO adds date-picker, country select, visitor select, and CPT select fields.

Target fields to selected page templates, custom post types, or individual IDs. Repeater Fields and Repeater Groups hold repeatable information; repeater fields can be sorted with drag and drop. Image and file uploads use the WordPress Media Uploader, and data handling uses Ajax. Field slugs are generated from their titles, so values such as a book name and author name can be referenced by those slugs.

Create post types and taxonomies

Custom Post Type Creator includes an admin interface for creating and editing post types, with advanced labeling options and most of the arguments used by register_post_type(). Taxonomy Creator provides an interface for creating and editing taxonomies, with most of the arguments used by register_taxonomy(). Attach built-in or custom taxonomies to built-in or custom post types.

Present and manage content

• Swift Templates: Build front-end templates in the WordPress admin UI without PHP template code. Display registered custom post types, custom fields, and taxonomies in the current theme.
• Front-end Posting: Create forms for content creation and editing.
• Options Page Creator: Create option pages for a theme or extension.

A typical setup starts with the content structure, then assigns its fields and taxonomies. Swift Templates can present the resulting content, while Front-end Posting can provide forms to create or edit it.
