What Cimo Premium Adds to WordPress Media Optimization
Cimo optimizes new images in the browser before they are added to the WordPress Media Library, so the optimized image is the file saved to the website. Image options include WebP conversion and quality, maximum dimensions, WordPress image scaling, and thumbnail generation. Safari optimizes images but keeps their original format because WebP conversion is not supported there.

Process existing media and new uploads
Cimo Premium lets you select existing images, videos, and audio in the Media Library for bulk optimization in one operation, without server-side processing. It also automatically optimizes media uploaded through supported form add-ons, including Gravity Forms, WPForms, Ninja Forms, Formidable, and Fluent Forms.
New video and audio documents are processed during upload, before they reach the Media Library. Options let you downscale video resolution and adjust audio quality. Smart Optimization uses algorithms to select compression options for each image, reducing the need for manual adjustment.
Choose image and display settings
Open Settings > Cimo to adjust WebP quality, maximum image dimensions, WordPress scaling, and thumbnail generation, or view optimization statistics. The Recommended preset sets WebP quality to 80%, maximum image dimensions to 1920px, and disables thumbnail generation.
Low Quality Image Placeholders display a subtle placeholder for images in native image blocks while the full image loads, then fade in the loaded image. Stealth Mode hides Cimo branding and interface components while optimization continues in the background.
Compatibility and setup
Documented integrations include the WordPress Block Editor, Elementor, Divi, Breakdance, Bricks Builder, Oxygen, Beaver Builder, WPBakery, Stackable, Spectra, Kadence, Greenshift, GenerateBlocks, and WooCommerce. Divi support is partial; dropping files is not supported.
- Install and activate Cimo Premium in WordPress.
- Open Settings > Cimo and review the image, thumbnail, and scaling options.
- Choose the Recommended preset or configure the settings manually.
- Upload new media normally, or select existing files for bulk optimization in the Media Library.
- Enable form processing, video and audio options, placeholders, or Stealth Mode as needed.
Cimo works in modern Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Opera browsers.
