ARI Fancy Lightbox Pro: Direct Links and Media Sharing

ARI Fancy Lightbox Pro displays supported media and page content in responsive Fancybox lightboxes for mobile and desktop. It works with supported links and galleries without requiring additional HTML changes.

Content and gallery support

The lightbox can display pictures from native WordPress galleries, Jetpack, NextGEN, FooGallery, Justified Image Grid, and WooCommerce product images. It also supports videos from YouTube, Vimeo, Dailymotion, Vine, and Metacafe. Local PDF files can open in a cross-browser PDFJS viewer; Google Maps links, web pages, and inline content can use the same popup interface.

Pro capabilities for direct links and sharing

Pro makes a unique deeplink for each lightbox entry. When a visitor opens the link in a browser, the corresponding supported item can open automatically. The extension also integrates with the Facebook comment add-on and supports sharing through Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and VK. Visitors can send content by email as well.

Video and opening options

For YouTube, Vimeo, and Dailymotion, Pro includes extended player parameters, including autoplay, related-video settings, and the fullscreen button, along with other available player options. You can disable the lightbox on small screens when its popup presentation does not suit that display size.

A shortcode can make a splash window that opens a defined lightbox when a page loads. You can configure it to appear only once. External or internal links with a target="_blank" attribute can also open inside the lightbox. Justified Image Grid integration provides additional gallery options for websites using that system.

Navigation and presentation controls

On supported devices, visitors can tap, zoom, pan, pinch, and swipe to navigate. The lightbox also supports slideshow mode, loop navigation, fullscreen viewing, and a thumbnails toolbar. Titles can come from EXIF data or file names, and lightbox styles can be adjusted. You can disable right-clicking for images to discourage copying image URLs.
