Contextual Related Posts Pro for WordPress

Contextual Related Posts Pro adds controls for selecting, storing and displaying related content on WordPress sites. Matches can draw on a post’s title and content, categories, tags, selected custom fields and custom post types. Pro options let administrators tune relevance and manage how recommendations are loaded and used.

Set matching rules and manage load

Adjust the weight given to titles, content and excerpts, then refine results with taxonomy weighting. The Related Posts and CRP Query Loop blocks can use a specified word or phrase instead of the current post’s title and content. Optional recency weighting has a configurable boost and half-life and is disabled by default.

Custom tables and database indices provide options for content storage and indexing. Cache lifetimes can range from one hour to one year. A server-load threshold can skip related-post queries when the database is under heavy load, and bot protection can skip known bots and crawlers using an extensible signature list.

Choose placement and presentation

Place related lists in the content area or add them with a shortcode, widget or block. JavaScript lazy loading loads recommendations as they approach the viewport and works across these display methods. Block layouts include Query Loop support and ready-to-use patterns such as Grid and Image with Title. Experimental integrations add native related-post elements for WPBakery, Elementor and Bricks.

Extra shortcode parameters provide more output controls. Exclude selected categories or tags, capability important content with Cornerstone Posts, or use per-post metabox settings. Lists can include posts, pages, attachments and other custom post types. UTM parameters can be added to related-post clicks to measure user interactions.

Configure WooCommerce recommendations

For stores, product-related output can show or conceal prices and ratings, and can replace or complement WooCommerce related products. Cart Related Products can show items priced within the gap between the cart total and a free-shipping threshold. Matching starts with the most expensive cart item; settings include the price band, product count, heading and cart-page hook position.

Manage content with WP-CLI

WP-CLI commands cover database management, index-status checks, post-meta migration, cache control, custom-table operations, bulk content processing and FULLTEXT index management. Cache commands can clear, warm, enable or disable caching and support multisite installations. Network commands are available for multisite administration.

Install and activate Contextual Related Posts Pro in WordPress, then configure matching, cache, display and exclusion settings. Choose automatic placement or add recommendations with a block, widget or shortcode. Storage, indexing, WooCommerce, tracking and WP-CLI options can be adjusted to fit the site’s publishing and administration workflow.
