Choose a workflow
Paid editions include translation for products, meta fields, posts, pages, and strings, along with batch translations and a show of current and remaining API usage. The paid version works with editors such as Elementor and Blocks in the same way as the free version. Compatibility depends on the editor and site configuration, and the add-on does not guarantee that every editor will work perfectly with the DeepL API. Test your setup before purchase.
Requests and data
For the post-editor workflow, a translation request is sent when you click Translate in the editor metabox. The add-on does not translate automatically or in the background. The requested text, your DeepL API key for authentication, and the source and target language codes are sent to DeepL servers over HTTPS.
API access
An active DeepL API subscription with API access is required. Both the DeepL API Free plan and the DeepL API Pro plan work with the plugin. Standard DeepL User and Teams plans do not include the required API access and cannot be used. Review DeepL's applicable terms, privacy information, and API documentation before connecting the service to your site.
Install and configure
Install and activate the paid plugin in WordPress, then configure it with your DeepL API key. If you are replacing the free version, test your website configuration first and follow the plugin's upgrade requirements. After setup, open an editable post or page, use the translate control, and check the usage display. For products, meta fields, or batch translations, use the relevant paid workflow and review the results in WordPress.
