Copy existing WordPress content

Duplicate Page Pro is the paid edition of Duplicate Page. It creates a copy of an existing post, page, or custom post with one click. Each copy is saved using the status selected in the plugin options: draft, private, public, or pending.

Set access and pick where duplication appears

Two filters control different parts of the workflow. User role settings decide who can use the duplication function. Post type filters decide which content types show the Duplicate Page link. You can also choose the link’s location and change its title.

Configure the copied entry

• Status: Save copies as drafts, private items, public items, or pending items.
• Redirection: Choose whether to redirect after clicking the clone link.
• Title prefix and suffix: Add text before or after the copied item’s title.
• Editor: Use the available editor filters and other functions included in the Pro edition.

These options support different workflows. For example, a copy can remain pending for editorial review, while a prefix or suffix helps distinguish its title. Role and post type settings let administrators limit who can duplicate content and where the link appears.

Activate and make a copy

1. Activate the add-on.
2. Open Duplicate Page settings from the Settings tab and save the desired options.
3. Create a post or page, or open an existing one.
4. Click the Duplicate Page link. The copy is saved using the configured status.
