Duplicate Post RB Pro: Profiles for WordPress Content Duplication

Duplicate Post RB Pro controls how WordPress posts, pages, and public custom post types are copied. Profiles let you pick the details each copy carries over and apply consistent naming rules.

Choose copy details and naming rules

A profile can copy the title, content, status, date, excerpt, slug, template, featured image, author, taxonomies, categories, tags, menu order, password, format, attachments, child pages, navigation menu, comments, and post metadata. The global All Post Meta setting copies all post meta fields at once. You can also exclude selected custom post types.

Set a prefix or suffix for copied titles and add placeholders such as [Counter], [CurrentDate], and [CurrentTime]. Profiles can define the counter start, date and time formats, and template and taxonomy behavior. A preview shows the resulting name. Import and export profiles to reuse them across projects or environments.

Run copies from the editor, lists, or command line

Choose a profile before duplicating, use a custom button for a one-click profile action in post and page lists, or use the Copy button in the Gutenberg editor. Custom buttons can have their own label, color, and show type. An optional setting skips confirmation dialogs. Global settings control which user roles can duplicate content and where Copy or Duplicate actions appear in the admin area.

The editor history widget works in Gutenberg and the Classic Editor. It shows the source post or page, the duplication date and time, and the profile used. WP-CLI supports scripted and bulk duplication. For example, wp rb-duplicate-post duplicate 10,22,45 copies those entries, and wp rb-duplicate-post profiles lists available profiles.

ACF data and Multisite copying

Advanced Custom Fields integration copies field values, field groups assigned to posts and post types, ACF-based custom post types, and custom taxonomies created through ACF. Enhanced custom post type support covers public types registered by themes and plugins.

With Pro, posts, pages, and products can be copied to another site in a WordPress Multisite network through the copy dialog or WP-CLI. Auto copy rules can also send a newly published post to another website. Multisite settings let you choose whether copied images get files on the target site or continue pointing to the source media library. Images in the post content can be copied to the target site as well. Users see only websites where they may publish.

Apply steps and automate recurring work

The Assistant can change text or link addresses and set the status of a copy. It can ask for values during duplication, use those answers in its steps, and preview the result on a post without making a copy. Pro extends Assistant steps to patterns, custom fields, and terms. Its AI options can rewrite or translate content and write an excerpt, SEO title, or SEO description with Claude, ChatGPT, or Grok using your own API key.

Pro also includes scheduled Auto copy rules and Auto cleanup for duplicate drafts by content type. The separate Rewrite & Republish workflow edits a draft of a live post and publishes the changes into the original. Cleanup finds posts with the same title, or the same title and content, so you can review and remove extra copies.
