Store Vacation Pro

When a holiday or fulfilment pause affects ordering, Store Vacation Pro lets a WooCommerce store schedule the closure and decide what customers can do while it is active. It extends Store Vacation Lite for WooCommerce with recurring schedules, opening hours, cart and shipping controls, checkout protection, and reports. Stores with a straightforward one-off closure may only need Lite; Pro is for managing more schedules and customer activity during breaks.

Set closure schedules and opening hours

Create unlimited vacation periods and plan holidays or seasonal breaks months ahead. A calendar shows upcoming, active, and past closures. Recurring weekday rules cover regular days off and custom weekly patterns, while opening hours can close the shop automatically outside configured hours. Copy Conditions between schedules to reuse availability rules, or use Force Close to close the store immediately without creating a schedule.

Show customers when ordering will resume

Display a website-wide announcement bar or give advance notice before a closure so customers have time to order. Vacation notices can use reusable templates, smart tags for dates, rich text, calls to action, and custom styling. A countdown in the notice can show the time remaining until reopening. You can place notices on WooCommerce shop and product pages or use the available block, Elementor widget, or shortcode elsewhere.

Keep carts available while checkout is closed

With cart building enabled, shoppers can keep adding products during a closure even when checkout is unavailable. Save Cart for Later lets customers save a cart and restore it with one click when ordering resumes. They can copy, bookmark, or share the restore link across devices; logged-in customers can email it from the storefront. A dedicated block or shortcode can place the saved-cart action on custom pages and Cart Block layouts.

Choose how shipping and checkout work

Hide selected shipping methods for an individual schedule or weekday closure. Vacation Shipping Options let you set a name, cost, applicable zones, and checkout description, select whether an option appears in WooCommerce order emails, and apply it to all closures or selected schedules and weekdays. You can also control how Free Shipping behaves while vacation shipping rules are active.

Checkout Protection can automatically close checkout when unusual order activity suggests a carding attack or bot storm. Set separate thresholds and rolling time windows for rapid orders, activity from the same IP, and payment failures. Protection can clear automatically or manually, show a reusable customer notice, and send administrator emails when triggered. Its trigger and clear events are available in Vacation Reports.

Review activity during closure periods

The Vacation Reports dashboard includes events, completed checkouts, revenue, unique customers, an activity chart, Recent Activity, and Top Products. Track cart additions, removals and quantity changes, saved-cart emails, checkouts, and vacation shipping activity. Filter by date range or vacation period, export Recent Activity to CSV, and set rules to remove older report data automatically. Clearing report data does not remove orders, saved carts, or vacation settings. Vacation orders can also be tracked from the WooCommerce Orders screen.

Set what stays accessible

Conditions can exclude products, categories, tags, product types, shipping classes, WooCommerce brands, or visitor roles from vacation restrictions. Keep product exclusions and closure Conditions aligned across storefront, cart, and checkout behavior. You can choose whether orders placed during an active closure receive a contextual private order note.

Storefront controls include replacing shop pages with custom vacation content, password-protecting shop access with a shared password, and creating private access links for approved customers. Approved users can bypass restrictions and purchase normally while the rest of the store remains paused. You can also hide prices, add-to-cart controls, and mini carts, or use the Vacation Content block to show content only while vacation mode is active.

Manage schedules across the store

Admin reminder emails can be sent before a vacation starts, and a dashboard widget shows upcoming closures. An optional WordPress admin-bar badge reports whether the store is open, closed, or under Checkout Protection. A Behavior summary explains the configured customer-facing experience. Import or export settings between stores, use the REST API to work with schedules programmatically, or use permission-checked WordPress Abilities API actions for vacation status, Force Close, schedules, recurring weekday closures, Opening Hours, notices, and Vacation Shipping Options. The integration condition API lets compatible extensions evaluate vacation state, closure type, checkout availability, and mixed-cart availability.
