USPS rates in the cart and checkout
USPS WooCommerce Live Rates PRO connects a WooCommerce store to the current USPS API platform. After you enter USPS credentials and configure the shipping method, it calculates available rates from product weight, shop location and delivery destination. Customers can see the available options in the cart and at checkout. Domestic and international services, including USPS Commercial Pricing, are supported.
Listed domestic services include First-Class Mail, First-Class Package Service, Priority Mail, Priority Mail Express, Standard Post, Media Mail, Library Mail and Ground Return Service. International services include First-Class Mail, First-Class Package International Service, Priority Mail International, Priority Mail Express International and Global Express Guaranteed.
Packing and rate adjustments
For orders with multiple products, the PRO packing algorithm uses product weight and volume. You can define custom boxes and enter each box’s size, weight and padding to represent your store’s packaging in rate calculations.
Fixed or percentage handling fees and discounts let you adjust USPS rates. A custom origin lets you use a shipper’s address that differs from the default address in WooCommerce options. Multi-currency support is also included.
Service selection and fallback options
You can limit the services shown to those available for a customer’s address, or pick which USPS services to display manually. Other settings include shipment insurance, free shipping above an amount threshold, a fixed fallback amount when USPS returns no rates, and debug mode for troubleshooting.
The add-on is compatible with Flexible Shipping, so USPS live rates can be used alongside condition-based shipping costs from that table-rate shipping add-on. Stores need to enter USPS credentials and configure the services and shipping settings they want to use.
Setup and support
Install the plugin in WooCommerce, enter USPS credentials and configure the shipping settings. Select the domestic or international services to offer, then set packing rules, custom boxes, rate adjustments, origin and currency as needed. Review the available rates in the cart and checkout, and use debug mode to troubleshoot rate responses.
The PRO edition includes access to advanced features and priority email support.
