Prepare files through cloud image optimization
Web Interface PRO is the paid version of a web-based image optimization interface. It includes image resizing and sync-to-Dropbox to cloud compression and format conversion.
The service works with JPEG, PNG, GIF, HEIC/HEIF, and PDF files. For images, select intelligent lossy optimization to reduce file size while keeping the result visually close to the original, or lossless processing when preserving source data is the priority. JPEG quality and chroma subsampling can be adjusted for each image.
Image conversion options include WebP, AVIF, JPEG, PNG, and GIF. You can choose a format for the project while using the same cloud-based process.
Set dimensions when images need a size limit
Resizing lets you set a maximum width or height. The service enhances resized images to help maintain sharpness and reduce visible haloing. Sync-to-Dropbox provides another way to move optimized files into a Dropbox-based workflow.
Choose how WordPress media is processed
The connected WordPress extension can optimize new uploads and the thumbnail sizes WordPress generates. To process existing media, use the Bulk Optimize screen or the Media Library bulk action; progress appears while the operation runs.
Kraken.io information panels in the Media Library, Add Media, and Plugins screens, along with a Dashboard widget, show connection status, plan, quota usage, active settings, and supported formats. Per-image savings and error badges appear in the Media grid and list views.
The extension is designed for multisite installations, page builders, CDNs, and local or development sites. It can detect other image optimizer extensions and offer one-click deactivation to avoid competing optimization processes.
Connect the website before processing
Install the WordPress plugin, make or use an account, and connect the site with an API key and secret. A free account includes testing quota, and paid plans are available as usage grows. After connecting, configure optimization, conversion, and resizing settings, then process new uploads or use the bulk tools for existing media.
API credentials are stored write-only and masked in the plugin settings. Optimization runs server-to-server, and the plugin verifies upload contents before processing.
