Login security and content access in WordPress
WPEPP Pro is the paid edition of WPEPP: Essential Security, Password Protect & Login Page Customizer. It brings login, content access, and form styling controls into the WPEPP area of the WordPress dashboard.
Choose how customers reach and verify login
Set a custom URL slug to replace the standard wp-login.php address. The default address then returns a 404 error. You can select a page for the after-login redirect and generate secure, one-time auto-login links for specific users.
Two-factor authentication includes a TOTP verification step. Users set it up by scanning a QR code with Google Authenticator, Authy, Microsoft Authenticator, or another TOTP app. It follows RFC 6238, delivers eight one-time recovery codes, and can be required for selected user roles.
Google reCAPTCHA can be added to login and registration forms; setup requires a Site Key and Secret Key. Login and registration honeypots, configurable login attempt limits, IP-based tracking and lockouts, and registration rate limiting provide additional controls for automated submissions and repeated failed attempts.
Set content access rules
Site access control can require visitors to log in before viewing the website. For individual posts or pages, use content locking from the editor sidebar. The Member Only page template shows a login form to logged-out visitors and the page content after they sign in.
Conditional Display can display or hide content according to login status, user role, device type, and other available conditions. Auto-expiry dates let you schedule when protected content becomes accessible again.
Style login and password forms
Use the visual editor to set the login page background to a color, gradient, picture, or video. You can add a custom logo and style the form, fields, buttons, links, and error messages. Changes appear in a live preview before you save.
Pro also adds styling for registration and lost-password pages. For password-protected content, personalize the form's header and description, button and label text, input placeholders, error messages, and social media icons. The paid edition adds two password form styles; the add-on has more than 10 one-click templates overall.
Review crawler rules and login activity
The AI crawler blocker provides a checklist of known bots, including GPTBot, CCBot, and Google-Extended. Preview selected rules before adding them to robots.txt. Pro also includes a login activity log.
Start setup in the dashboard
Install and activate WPEPP Pro in WordPress, then open WPEPP in the dashboard. Use the Security area to configure the custom login URL, login limiter, two-factor authentication, or reCAPTCHA. Open Form Style for visual edits, and use the relevant access or editor options for content restrictions. Review changes in the available live preview before saving.
