Add to Cart Redirect for WooCommerce Pro
Add to Cart Redirect for WooCommerce Pro lets you set a general destination after an add-to-cart action, then configure different behavior for individual products. Choose checkout, a category, another product, a custom page, or an external URL. Product-level rules can set a custom destination or disable redirection for selected products, including when shoppers use Ajax-based add-to-cart buttons on archive pages.
Choose where shoppers go after adding a product
Add to Cart Redirect for WooCommerce Pro lets you set a general destination after an add-to-cart action, then configure different behavior for individual products. Choose checkout, a category, another product, a custom page, or an external URL. Product-level rules can set a custom destination or disable redirection for selected products, including when shoppers use Ajax-based add-to-cart buttons on archive pages.
In WooCommerce > Direct checkout, the basic settings let you pick the general redirect destination and enable or disable redirection after adding to the cart. Use the Pro settings on a product to define its individual behavior.
Set up Buy Now behavior
Add a quick-purchase or Buy Now button to product and shop pages. You can change its label and position, choose whether it leads to the cart or checkout, and disable it for specific products. When a shopper uses this button, you can clear other cart items as the new product is added. The Amazon-style option sends the selected product to checkout while keeping the other cart items for a later purchase.
On category, shop, and archive pages, Buy Now can add the first variation of a variable product without opening its product page. Required variation attributes need default values; otherwise, the add-to-cart action can fail with a warning.
Adjust the checkout path
- Disable the cart page and send cart-page traffic to checkout, or remove the Continue Shopping link.
- Enable one-page checkout to show cart contents and checkout forms together. The checkout page must use the
[woocommerce_checkout]shortcode; this option does not work with the WooCommerce Checkout block. - Show cart contents on checkout and let shoppers change quantities or remove products there. These quantity and removal controls are unavailable when one-page checkout is enabled.
- Optionally require customers to log in or register before checkout.
- Use Sold individually settings to limit a product's quantity, retain UTM parameters for order-source tracking, and enable built-in CAPTCHA protection against spam and fake orders without a third-party key.
Checkout settings also include removing order comments or coupon fields and removing the “Ship to a different address?” option. You can remove specified billing or shipping fields, including names, location, address, and postal code fields. Removing billing or shipping form fields requires the [woocommerce_checkout] shortcode and does not work with the WooCommerce Checkout block.
Customize product controls and post-purchase pages
Change the Add to Cart, Read More, and Select Options labels, and show a popup preview of products on archive pages. Quick View can show product details without leaving the archive; Pro settings let you adjust the popup's background, text color, and width. You can also link product names shown at checkout to their product pages.
Set a general thank-you page for successful orders, then choose a different page for individual products. If an order includes products with different thank-you pages, the configured product weight determines which page is used.
Install and configure
Install and activate the plugin from the WordPress dashboard, then open WooCommerce > Direct checkout to set the basic redirect options. Configure product-specific redirects and Buy Now behavior in each product's Pro settings. Before publishing, check the add-to-cart buttons, destinations, checkout layout, and thank-you pages you have configured.
