Ajax Search Pro adds an AJAX-powered search interface that displays results as users type. Create multiple search bars with different settings for different parts of a site. Search activity runs locally on your server, and the product does not require a monthly subscription.

Content sources and integrations

Search posts, pages, custom post types such as WooCommerce products, events, and portfolio entries, as well as media attachments and contents of supported PDF, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint documents. Search sources can include titles, descriptions, excerpts, categories, tags, custom fields, comments, and other supported content. Custom field options include repeaters and special field types.

For community content, the extension can search BuddyPress activity feeds, visitors, and group names, plus PeepSo groups and group activities. It also includes WooCommerce shop search and filtering, and search and filtering for Elementor Loop Grid and JetEngine Listing Grid content.

Filters and result behavior

Visitors can refine results by category, custom field, post type, tag, taxonomy term, or date. Filter controls include checkboxes, drop-down menus, multiselect fields, radio buttons, sliders, and range sliders. Results can be grouped by category, post type, or content type.

Predictive result suggestions, Google keyword suggestions, and autocomplete help visitors enter queries. Keyword highlighting calls attention to matching terms. Depending on the selected configuration, results can use a load more control or infinite scroll.

Themes and performance settings

Choose from more than 100 configurable themes and adjust colors, layouts, icons, and result presentation. Search results can include images. Image precaching and search phrase caching are among the performance options, alongside advanced caching technology and live search statistics.

Ajax Search Pro supports page builders including Elementor, Divi, Oxygen, Breakdance, Gutenberg, and Beaver. It is responsive on mobile devices and delivers automatic search replacement, widgets, shortcodes, archive page loading, and frontend search settings.

1. Install Ajax Search Pro on the WordPress site.
2. Create one or more search bars and choose their content sources and filters.
3. Adjust the layout, colors, result grouping, caching, and performance settings.
4. Add the interface with a widget or shortcode, or configure it to replace the default search.
