Proofreading and website audit scope

WP Spell Check Pro and WP Spell Check Premium are paid editions for reviewing WordPress content and markup. Their reports bring spelling, grammar, punctuation, SEO opportunities, shortcode, and HTML findings together in one place. Site owners, developers, marketing managers, agencies, bloggers, small businesses, and WooCommerce stores can use them to review large content libraries and product catalogs.

What Pro and Premium check

WP Spell Check Pro helps find and fix spelling and grammar errors, locate broken shortcodes and broken code, and review AI suggestions for SEO titles and descriptions on pages and posts. The suggestions support content review; users decide which changes to make.

WP Spell Check Premium extends checks across the entire website. The free extension checks page and post content, while Premium can also check areas such as SEO titles and descriptions, forms, menus, and slugs. The wider scope helps teams review site content without opening each item individually.

Depending on the edition and checking scope, reports can also identify punctuation errors, weak or missing SEO titles and descriptions, broken add-ons, and broken HTML. Review each finding and make appropriate corrections in WordPress.

Languages and common uses

Choose American English, British English, or Canadian English on the General Options page. The selected language affects spell checking.

  • Review many pages and posts in a large content library.
  • Organize proofreading and website audits for agency clients.
  • Check business website content for spelling, grammar, and markup issues.
  • Review product descriptions in WooCommerce stores with large catalogs.
  • Help developers, marketing managers, and content teams find issues in work created by others.

Install, check, and review

Install the selected paid edition in WordPress and open its settings. On the General Options page, select American English, British English, or Canadian English. Use the checking scope that fits the site: Pro works with proofreading and auditing workflows, and Premium delivers the broader entire-website check.

Run a check and review the report for spelling, grammar, punctuation, SEO, shortcode, and HTML findings. Apply suitable corrections to the relevant WordPress content, then execute the add-on again when another audit is needed.

Local spell and grammar checks

Spell checking and grammar checking are performed locally on the server, and content for these core functions is not sent externally. Dictionary documents are loaded from the plugin's own servers for offline use. Optional survey information may be skipped.
