Export and Import Users and Customers Premium: CSV, XML and Excel

Export and Import Users and Customers Premium moves WordPress customers and WooCommerce customers between websites, or prepares their records for backup and editing. Work with CSV, XML, XLS, and XLSX files, and process larger data sets in batches.

Prepare files and map fields

For a CSV import, arrange user details in a table with labeled columns and save the file in UTF-8 encoding. During import setup, map each column to its corresponding WordPress user field, then transform values where needed. Evaluation fields can apply dynamic updates to user data in bulk.

Import from a file on your computer, a URL, Google Sheets, or FTP. Scheduled FTP imports and exports can execute at set intervals with Cron. Batch import and export are also available for larger transfers.

Choose which records to export

Filter exports by one or more user roles, email address, or the date users were added. Set an offset and limit, choose ascending or descending order, and include WooCommerce guest customers who purchased without an account. Search by username or email, with suggestions for names and email addresses in export fields.

Select and map the fields for the output, including custom and hidden user meta, and transform values as needed. Multisite exports can include users from each sub-site in the network.

Set import behavior

For existing users, choose whether to update their records or skip them. You can also choose whether the import sends email notifications. An option retains existing passwords during a website move so imported users can keep using them.

These controls suit site migrations, customer backups, role-specific exports, and bulk corrections. The add-on also works with WPML and named third-party add-ons including BuddyPress, ACF, and Ultimate Member.
