FileBird Document Library Pro for WordPress
FileBird Document Library Pro presents files from the WordPress Media Library as frontend document galleries. FileBird folders organize those files into categories, so users can browse a collection by folder. When you add, move, or remove files in FileBird, the displayed gallery reflects the change.
From FileBird folders to a visitor library
FileBird Document Library Pro presents files from the WordPress Media Library as frontend document galleries. FileBird folders organize those files into categories, so users can browse a collection by folder. When you add, move, or remove files in FileBird, the displayed gallery reflects the change.
Supported WordPress-hosted formats include PDF; DOC and DOCX; PPT, PPTX, PPS, and PPSX; ODT; XLS and XLSX; PSD; SVG; CAD and DWG; Apple formats such as .numbers and .pages; and ebooks such as .prc, .epub, .mobi, .azw, and .djvu, among others.
How visitors move through a collection
The Pro edition adds a frontend folder directory. Show multi-level folders in a tree, let visitors open nested folders, and use breadcrumbs to show their place in the library. A sidebar folder tree gives them another browsing route. You can set the search scope, add custom folder icons, and show extra metadata columns for YouTube or external links.
Choose a layout and file controls
Create galleries with the Gutenberg block and choose a grid or list layout. A library can draw from one folder or several, with settings for its folder icon, custom title, and the number of files shown per page. Visitors can switch between library sections. Sorting can use document name, modified date, or file size; attachment links and a download button give visitors ways to access files.
Match the setup to your pages
Use FileBird folders to group manuals, reports, presentations, spreadsheets, ebooks, design files, or other documents by department, topic, project, year, or another structure. FileBird Free or Pro, version 5.0 or higher, must be installed and activated for folder management and the document library block. Gutenberg is optional for creating and editing galleries. A page builder with shortcode support is also optional for embedding them.
The Free edition supports unlimited Gutenberg library blocks and one document library shortcode. The Pro edition is suited to using multiple shortcode-based libraries on various pages through page builders, as well as adding the frontend folder directory and its navigation options.
