Screen signups before account creation

CEV PRO extends WooCommerce email verification with checks for disposable addresses and signup risk. In the registration flow, customers verify their email with a one-time password (OTP) before an account is created. CEV PRO can block temporary and throwaway email providers across 430+ known domains and assign signups a risk score from 0 to 100.

Additional checks can match newly appearing disposable domains, detect coordinated signup patterns, and use DNS-based MX record validation to check whether an email domain has a working mail server before an OTP is sent. An MX check does not confirm that a particular inbox can receive mail. An email OTP confirms access to the submitted address; it does not establish a person's identity or prove an order is legitimate.

Choose where customers verify

Stores can require guest customers to verify by email before completing checkout, or trigger verification from the cart page. Phone verification supports SMS OTP instead of, or alongside, email through MSG91, Twilio, Vonage, or WhatsApp.

For account access, login authentication can request an OTP for an unrecognized device or browser. Rules can also consider a new location or a period of inactivity, or require OTP at every login. Two-factor authentication supports Google Authenticator, Authy, and Microsoft Authenticator.

Set account and signup rules

CEV PRO can allow registration only from specified email domains or block specific addresses. Store administrators can set various verification rules by user role and hold customer perks until the first paid order is complete. A branded Smart Form can replace the default WooCommerce login and registration forms, with four ready-made templates.

Configure codes and manage verification

Administrators can select 4-digit or 6-digit OTP codes, set code validity and resend limits, and personalize OTP email templates and verification popup styling. The registration process includes a popup, resend option, customizable messages, role-based verification skipping, and redirects after verification.

From the WordPress Users panel, administrators can view verification status, manually verify users, or resend verification emails in bulk. The verification analytics dashboard tracks signups, verification rates, failed attempts, and blocked spam. Additional tools include login notification emails, reminders for unverified customers, automatic cleanup of stale unverified accounts, scheduled cleanup of old verification logs, and an option to require all customers to verify again.

Checkout compatibility and setup

CEV PRO supports WooCommerce's block-based checkout and is compatible with High-Performance Order Storage (HPOS). Polylang compatibility is available for multilingual stores.

After installing and activating the extension, configure the verification methods and controls for your shop. Review the popup, email, OTP, and resend settings, then enable checkout, cart, SMS, login, or two-factor options as needed.
