Add a GutSlider block to a post, page, template, template part, or reusable pattern. Arrange images, text, headings, buttons, video, products, or other blocks in the editor, then adjust settings and preview the layout. The process uses no shortcodes, page builder, or custom code.
Premium blocks and styling options
The 15 additional blocks cover different kinds of motion and content: Shader Slider uses WebGL transitions; Shutters Slider opens and closes like shutters; and Slicer Slider divides images into slices as they change. Fashion Slider has an editorial layout, Triple Slider moves three images together, and Card Slider presents stacked, swipeable cards. Hover Slider reveals an picture when visitors hover over a title, while Tinder Slider uses left and right card swipes. Spring Carousel uses spring-style motion. Panorama Carousel presents a curved panoramic view, 3D Carousel rotates slides in a ring, and Material Carousel uses expanding slides. Marquee Carousel scrolls images continuously. For WooCommerce, WooCommerce Product Carousel displays products and WooCommerce Product Categories Carousel displays categories.
Pro also adds designs to existing blocks. Static Slider includes Split Hero, Glass Card, and Card Carousel; Flexible Slider includes Split, Fullscreen, Stacked Cards, and Ticker. Testimonial designs include Center Cards, Avatar Switcher, Marquee Wall, Swipe Deck, 3D Coverflow, and Glow Cards. Photo Carousel adds Showcase, Polaroid Stack, Film Ticker, and Expanding Panels. Before After adds Glass Handle, Rounded Card, Split Labels, and Dark Studio; Video Carousel adds Cinema, Playlist, and Video Cards. Blog Post Slider adds Overlay Grid, Featured + List, and Minimal Timeline. Marquee adds Testimonials, Image Strip, and Tag Cloud.
More control for video, comparisons, and motion
Video Carousel can display video search results markup. VideoObject markup is available for Video Carousel, and ItemList markup for Blog Post Slider. Pro adds video lightbox playback, hover previews, silent-loop backgrounds, custom thumbnails, and custom end times.
Before After blocks can compare videos playing in sync, hold multiple comparison pairs with thumbnail selection, and use autoplay or fullscreen. Static Slider content reveal sequences subtitles, titles, descriptions, and buttons. Choose words rising, letters flipping, blur-in, or mask reveal, then set a slow, normal, or fast pace. The sequence replays on each slide and waits until the slider is on screen. Flexible Slider also gets content animations and background effects.
Flexible Slider slides can use names as tabs, per-device visibility, responsive background images, and wrapper links that make a whole slide clickable. Remote navigation lets buttons elsewhere on the page control a slider. Detached content and thumbnail gallery navigation are available for Static and Blog Post sliders. Marquee can use up to three rows moving in opposite directions, with page-scroll, drag, or swipe motion, plus reverse or speed changes while scrolling.
Responsive settings and navigation
GutSlider includes controls for autoplay, looping, speed, effects, centered and free modes, and column counts. Navigation and pagination settings cover styles, positions, sizes, colors, and gaps. CSS entrance animations can be applied to individual elements with adjustable delays. Many settings, including spacing, columns, and typography, have separate Desktop, Tablet, and Mobile values.
Photo Carousel supports a lightbox. Text elements have typography settings, including Google Fonts. When a block uses a Google Font, its stylesheet and font documents are requested on pages where that block appears; system and theme fonts do not make those requests.
Editor workflow and website delivery
GutSlider uses native Gutenberg components. Scripts and styles load only on pages that use a slider block, each page gets one minified CSS file, and the add-on does not use jQuery. Swiper JS powers sliding. The add-on is translation ready and RTL friendly, and its dashboard can disable blocks you do not use. Keyboard support, pause buttons, and respect for reduced-motion settings support accessible interaction.
Set up a slider
- Open the post, page, template, template part, or pattern where the slider should appear.
- Insert a GutSlider block and add or select its content.
- Choose the layout and adjust its settings in the sidebar, including responsive values where available.
- Preview the layout across device settings before publishing.
For a WooCommerce display, pick a product or product-category carousel. For Static or Blog Post sliders, add thumbnail gallery navigation when visitors need thumbnail-based browsing. Video Carousel embeds videos from YouTube or Vimeo and loads their thumbnails when used.
