Restore, migrate or test from a backup
Automatic real-time backups save site changes to cloud storage, which starts at 10 GB. Additional storage options are available, and a site can be restored to an earlier point with one click.
- Back up the full database.
- Migrate a full site, including its theme, add-ons and database, to a new host.
- Move a theme and add-ons to a new database.
- Duplicate or clone a site, or make a test copy.
- Restore an older backup to help repair a broken site.
The activity log records site changes and who made them, giving teams a record for coordination and troubleshooting.
Scan for threats and control traffic
Automated malware and security scans check for malware and other code threats. When malware is found, a one-click fix can restore the site. The web application firewall examines incoming traffic, with rules to allow or block it.
Brute force protection guards the WordPress login page. Optional two-factor authentication is available for the WordPress.com-powered login.
Monitor uptime and filter spam
Jetpack monitors uptime and downtime and sends an email alert when a change is detected. Akismet Anti-spam filters spam comments and form responses. It works with Jetpack Forms and integrations with Contact Form 7, Ninja Forms, Gravity Forms and Formidable Forms.
Set up the chosen option
Install Jetpack on your WordPress site, connect it to your WordPress.com account and complete setup. Then select the paid option that fits your needs and configure backups, scans, firewall rules, alerts and restoration preferences.
