Configure the admin experience for selected customers

Custom Admin Interface Pro gives WordPress administrators settings for menus, toolbars, notices, dashboard widgets, code areas, and the visibility of WordPress components. Conditions let you apply customizations to selected users or profiles, including different administration arrangements for chosen roles or users.

Export and import settings to deploy configurations across multiple sites. Multiple versions of key interface elements and revision rollbacks let you revisit edits as you refine a setup.

Arrange menus and toolbars

Use drag and drop to reorder menu items, rename them, move top-level items into sub-level positions, or place them elsewhere in the menu structure. Create menu items and separators, change top-level icons with Dashicons or an uploaded icon, and set CSS classes, capability access, and link targets. Create multiple custom menus and toolbars for different administration arrangements.

For toolbar items, add, remove, reorder, rename, or reposition them, including moving them between levels. Restore menus and toolbars to their last saved version or to the standard WordPress arrangement.

Control visibility and presentation

Hide add-ons, users, sidebars, and meta boxes for selected users or roles. Meta box visibility settings can cover post types, including custom post types, as well as the dashboard page.

Customize the login screen background color and logo, add backend and frontend favicons, and change link and button colors. Set footer text on admin pages and use shortcodes such as [year] for copyright text. You can also remove the WordPress version number from the footer and conceal the admin toolbar on the frontend.

Add code, notices, and dashboard widgets

Use custom admin CSS, login CSS, JavaScript or jQuery, and PHP, along with custom CSS and JavaScript or jQuery for the frontend. These code areas sit alongside the visual interface settings.

Create admin notices for selected users or profiles and set an expiry date. Build multiple notices or dashboard widgets. A coming soon or maintenance page can use custom content and a future expiry date so the site can become live at a planned time.

Additional settings let administrators disable automatic updates, extension updates, or the Gutenberg block editor.

Set up and transfer configurations

Install and activate Custom Admin Interface Pro in WordPress, then open its settings and select the areas to configure. Create menus, toolbars, notices, widgets, visibility rules, or code settings; assign conditions where needed; and save revisions as you refine the interface. Export the finished settings to a file when you need to apply the configuration to other websites.
