Republish Old Posts Pro
Republish Old Posts Pro updates an existing post’s publication date to the current date. The post can then return to the front page, appear near the top of archive listings, and re-enter RSS feeds. Its content remains as it was, so the new date does not mean the article has been reviewed or updated.

Its content remains as it was, so the new date does not mean the article has been reviewed or updated.
A recent publication date may also change how readers see the post in date-based searches or when deciding whether to share or link to it.
Eligibility and timing
The Pro edition adds controls for deciding which posts qualify and when to republish them. Set a minimum post age and the interval between republishing runs, then add a randomness interval to vary the timing. A post-level custom field can exclude an individual post from future republishing.
What changes on the post
Republishing updates the original post rather than creating a duplicate. The plugin does not alter post slugs, and comments remain with the post. Depending on the selected options, the post’s status may change as well. Other extensions that respond to date or status changes can produce unexpected behavior.
Check your permalink format
Do not use this add-on if your permalink structure includes dates. Resetting a post’s publication date can change a date-based URL. Check the permalink format before using the plugin on a live site.
Compatibility and first use
The plugin works with WPMU. It is reported to work fine with Yoast SEO, with no other SEO plugin conflicts reported in the supplied information. Odd behavior has been noticed when All in One SEO and Republish Old Posts are active together, so keep that combination in mind if posts are republished at unexpected times.
After installing and activating the Pro edition, review its settings and choose a small set of evergreen posts. Check how their dates and statuses behave, and confirm that your permalinks do not include dates before expanding the workflow.
