Country, country code, and timezone are based on the IP address.
What each login record shows
User Login History Pro gives administrators a searchable listing of registered WordPress customers’ login activity. Records can include login, logout, and last-seen dates and times; login and online status; session duration; user ID and username; current and previous role; browser and operating system; and IP address. Country, country code, and timezone are based on the IP address.
Login status can indicate a successful login, logout, or failed login. Online status separately shows whether a user is online, idle, or offline. The Pro edition can also record whether a login used a mobile device, such as a phone or tablet, and can record a proxy IP. Guest users are not tracked.
Controls for access and entries
- Idle logout: Set the number of minutes before idle users are logged out, and pick which roles the setting applies to.
- IP display: Configure whether user IP addresses are masked or hidden.
- Email alerts: Get notifications for successful or failed logins, select roles, and edit email templates.
- Record retention: Delete records older than a selected number of days, with role selection available.
- Role tracking: Limit activity tracking to selected roles.
Automatic logout, record deletion, and related scheduled actions use WordPress Cron.
Search, exports, and reports
Advanced search filters help narrow the listing. Administrators can export records to CSV and set the CSV separator. A customizable shortcode can display records on the front end.
Reporting utilities can produce a timesheet report, identify users who did not log in during a specified date range, and display login counts by IP address in a login-device report.
Network view and first use
On multisite installations, the network admin area can show a listing of records fetched from the blogs in the current network. After activating the plugin, log in again and open the User Login History menu in the left sidebar to view the login list. Use the options to configure tracking, alerts, logout, record deletion, exports, and reports.
