Choose recommendations for each shopping stage

WooCommerce Product Recommendations Premium lets store owners select product suggestions and where they appear. Upsells present alternatives on product pages, while cross-sells suggest complementary entries for products in the cart. Recommendations can appear on product, category, shop, cart, checkout, and order received pages.

Start with a template or set campaign rules

Templates cover related products, recently viewed items, bestsellers, top-rated products, frequently bought together, new arrivals, and Trending Now products based on items trending in the past 30 days. You can also create custom recommendations with your own rules and conditions, then use filters to determine which products qualify.

Choose which related products qualify

Select related products by category, subcategory, tags, attributes, or specific products. Category and tag selections can apply across the store, and individual products can have their own related product selections. You can exclude selected categories and hide out-of-stock products. Sorting options include rating, price, and popularity.

Set placement and presentation

Adjust a recommendation widget's heading, entry order, and product count. Related products can appear in a slider, and the related products widget is compatible with block-based themes. Use [wt-related-products product_id="xx"] to show related products on a post or page, or remove the theme's default related-products section when using a custom arrangement.

A support post dated November 15, 2025, reports that enabling the related-products slider with the Woodmart theme made titles in Woodmart's own slider larger and caused them to wrap. The user reported that disabling the related-products slider restored the previous layout. The post suggests a possible interaction involving Owl Carousel and Bootstrap transition JavaScript, but does not confirm that as the cause.

Manage product relationships

Related products can be imported with the default WooCommerce importer. When WPML is used, the same related-product set can appear for translated versions of a product. Compatibility is also listed with Product Import Export for WooCommerce and WP All Import Export for WooCommerce.

Install and configure

Install and activate the extension in WordPress, then open its settings. Choose a template or create a custom campaign, configure product relationships, rules, filters, exclusions, and placements, and review the suggestions on the selected store pages.
