YITH Pre-Order for WooCommerce Premium: Pre-Sale Setup

YITH Pre-Order for WooCommerce Premium lets a shop take orders for products before they are available or while they are temporarily unavailable. Customers see a pre-order action in place of the regular purchase option, with a release date to explain when the product is expected.

Availability and pre-order pricing

Enable pre-order mode for selected products or apply it automatically to unavailable and out-of-stock products. An out-of-stock product needs a stock quantity set. For variable products, you can set pre-order status separately for each variation.

Set a release date and time, then pick whether pre-order mode ends manually or automatically when the product becomes available. Set a fixed pre-order price, apply a discount, or increase the price for pre-order purchases. You can customize the pre-order button label and, in the Frequently Bought Together section, its label and colors.

Access, fees and shipping

Premium can conceal pre-order prices from unregistered customers and limit pre-orders to selected users or user roles. You can add a fee to orders containing a pre-order product, or offer free shipping for products bought in pre-order mode.

Payment timing

Customers can choose Pay Later at checkout and pay when the product becomes available. With a supported payment gateway, the product price can also be charged automatically to the customer’s card upon release. The add-on information also describes collecting payment when the order is placed, so check the configured payment behavior and gateway before opening pre-orders.

Customer and admin notifications

Customers can receive an email when they place a pre-order, a notice if the release date changes, and a reminder about pending payment. Administrators can receive an email for a new pre-order, plus notices when pre-order mode is enabled for an unavailable product or a release date is approaching.

Setup

WooCommerce must be active for the add-on to work. Activate YITH Pre-Order for WooCommerce Premium, then configure its options in the Pre-Order tab under YITH Plugins. Choose the products or automatic availability rule, set dates and pricing, and review access, shipping, payment and notification settings before accepting pre-orders.
