Map styles and location details
Choose OpenStreetMap, Google Maps, Bing Maps, Mapbox, or a custom WMTS basemap. Set the map size and zoom level for individual markers and layers. MapTiler basemaps can also represent places outside the real world, such as game maps, indoor spaces, or photo maps.
Choose from more than 1,000 customizable icons, upload your own, and manage an icon directory. Group markers into layers, multi-layer maps, or categories. Animated clustering can organize groups on the map, while a dynamic marker list supports paging, searching, sorting, and distance from the current position. Layer maps can also include a marker list, minimap, and home button to restore the original view.
Routes, tracks, and location search
- Show directions through Google Maps, YourNavigation, or OpenRouteService.
- Display GPX tracks with elevation charts and waypoints.
- Use geolocation with real-time display-and-follow updates.
- Search locations with MapQuest Geocoding or Google Geocoding, and use Google Places for location searches.
- Display maps in an augmented-reality browser and use optimized mobile viewports.
Map data and integrations
Import and export GeoJSON for bulk marker additions and updates. Export marker data as KML, XLSX, XLS, CSV, or ODS, or let visitors subscribe to markers through GeoRSS. You can configure up to 10 WMS servers to show additional external geodata. The API and MMPAPI class provide access for integrations.
Maps Marker Pro can generate a geo sitemap, add geo microformats and location meta tags, and create QR codes for standalone maps. Other display settings include Google Maps styling, HTML5 fullscreen maps, keyboard navigation, a loading indicator, and a global basemap setting.
Multilingual maps and publishing
WPML and Polylang support can help you organize maps in multiple languages. Backup and restore utilities are available for settings. The extension includes a Pro upgrader to start a trial or upgrade. After you create markers and layers, select a basemap and set the display options, then publish the map in a post, page, widget, or template using its shortcode.
