Define what stays private
Protect individual pages and posts, categories, WooCommerce products and categories, custom post types, taxonomies, or the WordPress login area. Exclude selected pages, posts, or post types when they should remain public.
For a page with both public and restricted material, use shortcodes to lock selected text, images, or downloads while leaving the rest visible. Elementor, the WordPress Block Editor, and Beaver Builder support restrictions on blocks, sections, or widgets.
Choose how visitors get in
Create multiple passwords for different visitors or groups. Selected WordPress visitor roles can bypass password screens, and IP address whitelisting is available in the base plugin. Bypass links can grant password-free access to a specific page, post, WooCommerce product, or category, or to the full website through a master link.
Set password expiration dates and usage limits. You can also let visitors request a password by email; an administrator can approve or reject the request in the WordPress dashboard, and approved visitors receive the password.
For form-based access, connect Gravity Forms to collect payments, registrations, lead information, contact details, or other data. After a successful submission, the plugin can email a bypass link to the protected content. With WooCommerce, sell protected pages or posts as simple or variable virtual products and email customers access details after purchase. Usage limits, expiration settings, and purchase confirmation messages can also be managed.
Review the screen and access activity
Customize the protection screen's colors, background, logo, and text, with a live preview. Google reCAPTCHA, hCaptcha, and Cloudflare Turnstile can help block bots at the password screen. The plugin also works with limiting login attempts and protecting the WordPress login area with a password.
Review password attempts and access activity in detailed logs. The base plugin includes activity monitoring; Pro adds CSV export for reporting or further review.
Configure the workflow
Install and activate the plugin in WordPress, then pick the content areas and access rules. Set passwords, exclusions, role access, and any expiration or usage limits. Customize the protection screen, connect Gravity Forms or WooCommerce if needed, and publish the protected content. Review access activity as the workflow develops.
