How cart and product details affect fees
Rules can check the cart subtotal, minimum order amount, coupons, quantity, weight and product count. Target products, categories, tags, attributes, subscription products, shipping classes or WooCommerce zones. Set different fees for different quantities, weights, subtotals or product counts, and check whether a product quantity is a multiple or non-multiple of a value.
Pro rules can match numeric product attributes, such as charging when a size is above a chosen value. They can also check whether an exact set of products or categories is present in the cart or absent. Included shortcodes can calculate the quantity of selected products, products in a category or all cart items, as well as the count of different products in a category. For example, a fee calculation using 5 * [qty] applies a fee for each unit in the cart.
How customer and location rules change charges
Customer conditions include country, state, postcode, user and user role. Postcode rules can target a specific code or a range. IP-based country detection can apply when the customer is not logged in or has no billing country set. Configure MaxMind GeoIP in WooCommerce’s Integration settings, or use the Cloudflare IP geolocation header with Cloudflare CDN.
Pro rules can check whether a customer is placing a first order, how many orders they have placed during the current month, the total of their last order, or their purchases over a recent period. These conditions let you apply or exclude fees according to the customer’s order history.
How delivery, payment and timing rules affect fees
Fees can be scheduled for a date range, a day of the week or a time range within the day. Rules can also use the selected payment method, shipping method or currency. To base a fee on a selected delivery or pickup date, day or choice, use the compatible order date and time add-on.
How calculations and fee shows work
Percentage fees can be based on the subtotal after discounts, or on the subtotal after discounts plus shipping. Multi-currency support lets rules target specific currencies. You can give each fee its own title and combine several fees under one fee. A combined fee can apply when all specified fees apply, or when any one of them applies.
Optional fee checkboxes can appear on the cart page when it uses the [woocommerce_cart] shortcode. Pro settings allow separate messages beside the checkbox and applied fee, plus a fee description shown as a checkout tooltip.
Set up and review fee rules
Install the plugin on a WordPress website running WooCommerce, then create one or more fee rules. For each fee, choose a title, amount type, tax options and conditions. Review the cart and checkout flow to confirm the charge, optional setting, message and tax treatment appear as intended.
